About us

The aim and objectives of the organization are to serve the poor and marginalized rural population from the weaker sections of the society especially women and children who are suppressed and depressed in many ways. From the year 1993 when this organization was started by a team of social-minded persons to serve the poor, number of developmental activities are being carried out successfully for the upliftment, welfare and benefit of our target groups. The organization mainly focuses its activities on rural women, children, youths, farmers, workers in the Stone quarries, crusher units, Brick kiln, People Living with HIV/AIDS and disabled persons in 17 Panchayats of Annavasal, Viralimalai and Pudukottai Blocks. Evening educational classes are also being conducted by many volunteers linked to this society. The organization maintains good rapport and cooperation with the Government sectors, other social service organizations, Donor agencies and the general public connected to our services and all project activities. The executive committee of the organization consists mostly women members and they play an active and important role in project implementations and planning of activities. The organization continues to be a member of Tamilnadu Voluntary Health Association (TNVHA), Chennai and actively participates in the trainings, workshops, seminars, etc. offered by the Government sectors, other Agencies and the NGOs for undertaking many more beneficial and worthy services to the people of our operational areas.

Organizational Structure

General Body is the supreme body of the organization and supported by the executive body. The office bearers are President, Vice President, Secretary and the Treasurer. President is the chief functionary of the VCWS. He is looking after the day-to-day administration and functions of the organization.
